Race Packet Stuffing

Assist with stuffing flyers and promotional items in runners' race packets. This will take place at The Oak Brook Park District, 1450 Forest Gate Road, Oak Brook, IL Monday, August 25, and Tuesday, August 26, during daytime hours.

Pre-registration and Packet pick-up

Process registrations, and distribute race pakets and race shirts to runners who pre-register at The Oak Brook Park District, 1450 Forest Gate Road, Oak Brook, IL, on Thursday, August 28 and Friday, August 29, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Race Day Registration

Process race day registrations, greet runners, staff information areas and offer assistance as needed.

Timing Chip Distribution

Prior to the race, on race day, distribute timing chips to all runners who have completed their registration.

Traffic Control, Parking

Help direct participants to the parking lot and race area.

Gear Check/Bike Check

Runners and walkers have the opportunity to store their gear and bicycles in a secured area until the race is over. Volunteers will collect and store gear until it is picked up following the completion of the race.

Course Marshal

Be on the course directing runners/walkers, assisting with traffic control and monitoring the safety of our participants.

Aid Station

Serve water, replacement drinks and energy gel to runners at designated stations on the course during the race.

Runner Refreshment

Serve food and drink to the runners/walkers after the race.

Finish Line

Direct finishers and collect runners’ timing chips at the finish line area.

Junior Races

Assist in the coordination of children’s races and activities.

Area Captain

Volunteers must be responsible adults willing to assume command and oversee other volunteers in one of the above areas (please select preferred area and provide guidance and direction as needed.

Anywhere I am Needed!

Help out at any area in need of additional service.
