BEFORE YOU ASK…..

Is this event a "Run/Walk"?

The Oak Brook 50th Anniversary Half-Marathon is a running event. There is no "Walk". However, the race will accommodate runners of a wide range of abilities. The course will be open for 4 hours. Note, however, that runners who do not clear the intersection of 31st Street and Jorie Blvd (about 6.75 miles into the race) by 9:00 AM (about a 17 minute 45 second pace) will be directed back to the Finish Line Area, a little over a half-mile away. Keep in mind that the course has many rolling hills, and you should take that into account when estimating the pace that you can maintain.

Are dogs and baby strollers permitted?

No. For safety reasons, dogs, other pets, and baby strollers are not permitted on the course.

I already registered (prior to July 9th), but I was not asked at what location I would like to pick up my race packet. What do I do?

Those who registered before July 9th will be contacted and asked to specify where they would like to pick up their race packet. Those people may also call Universal Sole at 773-868-0893 to state their preference. If you are registering now, make sure to state where you would like to pick up your packet (all Race Day Packet Pick-up will be in Oak Brook).
